If your next vacation destination is the Ohio’s state capital, Columbus, be prepared for a number of outdoor and indoor adventures.  The features of interest here are the monument commemorating the murder of President William McKinley (1843-1901) and the Ohio Historical Center.  The top three places to see in Columbus are the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Garden, the Ohio Statehouse and the Center of Science and Industry.  The first one is exhibiting a number of beautiful indoor and outdoor gardens, displayed on an 88 acre area.  The Ohio Statehouse, on the other hand, situated in a Greek Revival style building, is open to the public and gives an inside into the political history of the state and its capital city.  The Center of Science and Industry has a 116 000 square feet of exhibit space and a working television station.  Visitors are intrigued by the displays and their educational value.
The top three things to do in Columbus would be the visit to the Topiary Park, the tour of the historic ship Santa Maria and the exploration of the Prehistoric Indian Mounds.  A relaxing day spend in the Topiary Park will show you how nature and art can merge together into one, as the garden is based on the painting of George Seurat and is a real piece of art itself.  The replica of the Christopher Columbus’ ship is attempting to make you relive the life on the boat, by showing everything that a ship from XV century will have, while the large number of prehistoric Indian Mounds, which Columbus houses, is a glance in the past and the way it affects our future.  For more modern entertainments, tourists are invited to visit the local markets, restaurants and clubs, where they will have the chance to taste and see the local culture, cuisine and music.
